San Francisco Psychotherapy - Ryan Bethem, LMFT
My passion for psychotherapy developed out of issues that brought me to therapy during my adolescence. After trying several therapies I found that psychoanalytic therapy was by far the most potent and fulfilling therapy I could find. Psychoanalytic therapy has proved to be a vital asset in addressing my own obstacles, living a rich life, and developing a deep sensitivity to the nuance and complexity of the human experience. I have dedicated my life work to growing as a psychoanalytic clinician in order to help others with physical, psychological, and spiritual issues.
I enjoy working with young and middle aged working professionals who are seeking help because they feel stuck in their relationships or job, feel something lacking in their life, or have known they have been suffering from burning issues for a while and are ready to seek help.
I am incredibly grateful and honored to have had the opportunity to develop my clinical voice through my relationships with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. My training originated at Bonita House Residential Treatment center for severe mental illness and addiction. Developing my skill as an individual psychotherapist grew out of my training at the California Institute of Integral Studies and Integral Counseling Center in San Francisco under the supervision of Alan Kubler, PhD. My clinical training and experience has been deeply moving and humbling. The relationships I have developed during my career have enabled me to learn how to work with a wide range of issues that bring people to therapy.
I am a Licensed Married and Family Therapist (Lic#88487)
